Old Kitchen – for Breakfast

Breakfast at the Great Valley House is served in the Old Kitchen , the original part of the house which dates to 1690.  The initials, ‘W.T.’ and the date ‘1812’ can be found carved into the massive fireplace mantle.  The William Thomas Room is named after this early owner of the Great Valley House.

To afford you a leisurely stay, a full gourmet breakfast is served at your specific choice of time between 8 AM – 9:30 AM. If you are travelling on business or have early morning plans and need breakfast earlier than 8 AM — no problem, a full breakfast can be served as early as needed.  Just make sure and let Pattye know the night before.  Breakfast is served in the colonial Old Kitchen and features a changing selection of hot entrees each morning. During the cooler months, guests may enjoy a fire in the large walk-in fireplace..  For guests preferring ‘breakfast in bed’, a Continental breakfast tray can be brought to your room in the morning — just make arrangements the night before.

Special diets or dietary restrictions, including vegan, gluten-free, lactose intolerance, can be accommodated. Please inform us in advance of any dietary needs.

Often guests at the Great Valley House ask if they can have friends, relatives or business associates join them for breakfast.  Absolutely, we welcome them to enjoy breakfast with you.  Please be sure to tell Pattye, how many guests to expect, at least a day in advance.  The cost is $12 each for guests not staying at the inn.
